Microwave Wireless Power Transfer System Based on a Frequency Reconfigurable Microstrip Patch Antenna Array

The microwave wireless power transfer (MWPT) technology has found a variety of applications in consumer electronics, medical implants and sensor networks. Here, instead magnetic resonant coupling (MRCWPT) system, novel MWPT system based on frequency reconfigurable (covering the S-band C-band) microstrip patch antenna array is proposed for first time. By switching bias voltage-dependent capacitance value varactor diode between larger main smaller side patch, working band can be switched C-band. Specifically, operated frequencies vary continuously within wide range from 3.41 to 3.96 GHz 5.7 6.3 GHz. For adjustable frequencies, return loss less than −15 dB at frequency. gain above 6 dBi different frequencies. Simulation results verified by experimental have shown that efficiency (PTE) stays 20% Also, when works 3.64 GHz, PTE 25%, 20.5%, 10.3% distances 20 mm, 40 80 respectively. used receiver which great application prospects market demand opportunities.
